Our Story

Our journey began in 2007. It was a time when more and more households wanted to connect to the city's water and sewerage lines, but there were few people doing the work. Even so, buying that first machine was an enormous financial risk. There was no guarantee anyone would even call.

There was a lot to worry about. The backhoe loader came with a loan the size of a house — and, in a bad storm, the possibility of personal bankruptcy. From the customer's view, we were two unknowns who had just appeared on the market.

So we worked long days and made sure every job was done properly — often more than the agreement required. We couldn't afford mistakes. Today, we don't know how to work any other way.

I often say that a company's real value is its people — and that a good manager notices not only the work but also what's happening in a worker's personal life. We look after one another. When someone has a family occasion, we show up for it — because everyone is invited. We've held on to that thought to this day.

Our team has been with us a long time. Each of them has developed their own working style, characteristic strengths, and favourite kinds of sites.

The advantage of a small team is more direct communication — both among ourselves and with the client. A small team doesn't mean small projects: we've handled everything from private home and warehouse foundations to building out whole street developments.

Our pricing has always been based on one rule: that our clients receive certified materials and solutions that last over time — and that our workers receive fair pay.

Earthwork carries one main environmental risk: contamination of soil, surface water, and groundwater. We take this knowledge seriously. We have invested in soil screening equipment to separate materials that do not belong and send them to certified waste facilities. What's left behind is clean, reusable soil and properly handled waste.

We genuinely love the work we do.
